Providence Presbyterian Church exists to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We are a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) located in Pflugerville, Texas (Austin area). We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice, and that it is faithfully summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms. We are accountable to our denomination and our presbytery (a regional group of OPC congregations) called the Presbytery of the Southwest.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone
— Ephesians 2:19-20
Providence is not a building made of brick and mortar. We are a local body of living stones, believers and their children, founded upon the cornerstone Jesus Christ. God has richly blessed our congregation for over 40 years since we first began worship in Austin in 1983 and He continues to be our refuge and strength as we magnify His Name in this area. Many countries are represented by the men, women, and children who make up our congregation which is a wonderful testimony to the grace of God extended to all nations in the gospel.
Our theological heritage can be traced back to the work of Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Knox in the 16th century during the Reformation of that era and to the writings of Augustine produced in the 4th century. Our members truly enjoy worshipping God each week, spending time together, and meeting new people. We invite you to come worship the Triune God in the Name of Christ with us!
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
— 1 John 3:1
…for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation …
